Astoria's Changing Landscape: A Resident's Perspective

What do you think of the changes you are seeing around you in Astoria?

I have definitely seen many more tall apartment buildings, most don't have any stores in them.

Where in NYC do you live, and how long have you lived there?

My husband and I live in Astoria by Ditmars and we have seen rent shoot up almost by one third in the past few years.

What do you think is causing these rent increases?

Probably those buildings I mentioned, they never seem to offer cheap units and are just so massive for this neighborhood.
